A line matters!

Movie taglines are the one line telling of the entire story. They can be quite effective in catching the attention..or not! These are ten of the more memorable ones, in no particular order.

"The truth can be adjusted" - Michael Clayton

"
Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire" - Schindler's List

"
Movie-wise, there has never been anything like it - laugh-wise, love-wise, or otherwise-wise!" - The Apartment

"
A homespun murder story." - Fargo

"
On every street in every city, there's a nobody who dreams of being a somebody." - Taxi Driver

"
Stealin' Stones and Breakin' Bones" - Snatch.

"
Movies were his passion. Women were his inspiration. Angora sweaters were his weakness." - Ed Wood

"
In October of 1994 three student filmmakers disappeared in the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland, while shooting a documentary...A year later their footage was found." - The Blair Witch Project

"
The Strangest Vengeance Ever Planned!" - Touch of Evil

"
The mission is a man." - Saving Private Ryan

ya're rigt..
one-liners-yeh they do give the movie in a line to ya..
n the intentions are right in most movies, :) but....

indian movies work differently though..
for tamil movies, it's the punch dialogues- eg.
thalaivar's padayappa- en vazhi thani vazhi..

for hindi movies,
some moveis have the same name, so they use different one-liners to differentiate
eg:
DON (Starring AB)1978
DON- 'THE CHASE HAS BEGUN' 2006
THE one-liner doesn't make much sense, does it? ;)

n for others, te one liner makes no sense:
for eg. you, me aur hum-
sometimes, Sometimes the greatest journey is the distance between two people.

I BEG TO DIFFER-
SOMETIMES TEH GREATEST JOURNEY IS THE PATIENCE TO SIT AND WATCH 3 HOURS OF NON-STOP NONSENSE BTW TWO PEOPLE

:)
neways,
tehre are still those grt one liners which attract ya attention, and keep up to wat tehy say!
it all depends-
after all, what's in a one- liner that's not in the movie!! ;)
